Parag Saxena is Founding General Partner and CEO of New Silk Route Partners. He also co-founded Vedanta Capital LLC, in 2006. Previously, he was CEO of INVESCO Private Capital, one of the oldest and largest venture capital firms in the US. During his 23-year tenure at INVESCO Private Capital, the firm made over 300 investments, including Amgen, Celgene, Costco, MetroPCS, PictureTel, Polycom, Staples, and Starbucks. These investments have helped to grow companies that have created over 500,000 jobs and enjoy a market value exceeding $500 billion. Parag has also led more than 90 investments for Chancellor and INVESCO Private Capital, a third of which have gone public. These investments include Amber Networks, Masimo, Alkermes, ARM Holdings, Genomic Health, Indigo, and Volterra. Parag is a multi-year member of Forbes' Midas list which ranks the world's best global investors.
Parag has served on committees advising the Prime Minister of India on foreign direct investments and venture capital for the Planning Commission of India. He has provided recommendations on small business and venture capital to representatives of the U.S. Congress. He is also a Director of the Heritage Fund of the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay as well as a Trustee of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. He is on the Advisory Board of the Center for Advanced Studies on India at the University of Pennsylvania and the Indian Advisory Council of Brown University. Parag was the President of TiE Tri-State (NY, CT, NJ) from 2003 to 2010. He was also on Mayor Bloomberg's Applied Sciences NYC Advisory Committee.
Parag received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He earned a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies.
Jens is a Partner in New Silk Route and focuses on private equity opportunities across the Middle East and Asia out of the Dubai office.
Jens has two decades of Private Equity experience and a track record of building successful businesses internationally. After working for Booz, Allen & Hamilton’s acquisition services team in the early 90’s, he joined a pioneer buyout group in Germany in 1995, before co-founding HGU Hamburg Private Equity AG in 1998. Since 2004, Jens has been working in Private Equity in South Asia and the Middle East. He has led over 40 Private Equity investments, served on over 20 boards and founded several companies in the US, Europe and Asia.
Jens holds a MBA degree from the Harvard Business School, from where he graduated in 1995. He is a founding member of the Harvard Business School alumni organization in Germany and a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
Faisal has been the CEO of Augere Bangladesh since August 2012. Prior to his current position, he served in Augere Bangladesh as its CFO and Company Secretary from September 2009. Since taking over the helm of Augere Bangladesh, he has been instrumental in transforming the company to become operationally cash positive, improving the overall business economics and also making improvements in other areas.
Before joining Augere, Faisal served as the CFO at The City Bank Limited, a leading banking financial institution in Bangladesh. Prior to that, Faisal was the CFO at Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited, a SingTel joint venture CDMA mobile operator.
Having started his career with American Express Bank in 1989, Faisal brings with him wealth of experience gathered over more than 25 years of which 13 years has been within the telecom industry. Throughout his career, he has raised many syndicated debt finances including a USD105 million transaction, a merger & acquisition of USD113 million; setting up of a startup company, strategic planning, and operating cellular and data broadband networks.

Faisal is a business graduate and obtained his MBA degree with Finance concentration, from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. His early secondary and higher secondary schooling was completed in Singapore.
Jamal has been CEO of Augere Pakistan since 2011 and is a Founding Member of the Augere business in Pakistan.
Jamal has over 24 years of professional experience in the telecommunications industry. He has been instrumental in setting up and establishing satellite and wireless networks from scratch providing voice, data and Internet services.
